// SMB Plus vs. the alternatives

It isn't a few extras. We're the whole department.

The confusion we run into most often is people thinking SMB Plus is a support contract with a couple of security products stapled on. It isn't. There are twenty-five separate things switched on as standard, and on most contracts we're asked to compare against, the majority of them are either a tier up, an add-on, or simply absent.

So here is the whole list. Every component, what it's actually for, and how the same thing tends to be priced elsewhere. Nothing is hidden behind "contact us for details" — it's one figure per user, per month, and this is what the figure buys.

£75 per user, per month
25 components as standard
No first-line queue
No salespeople

All twenty-five of them.

Twenty-five for twenty-five. That's the whole idea.
We don't do a cheaper tier with the security taken out — anything less, we'd call insecure.

// The ones that decide it

Six of those twenty-five come up in every conversation.

Nobody argues about email signatures. These are the six where the difference between bundled and bolt-on actually shows up on a bad day.

// The bill

The comparison people find hardest isn't feature-by-feature — it's the invoice. A tiered contract looks cheaper on the quote because the quote isn't the whole cost.

SMB Plus
One line on the invoice
£75
per user, per month
{{ inc }}
A £750 monthly minimum applies below 10 users. One-off onboarding brings your environment up to the NexGen baseline; after that it's the same figure every month.
Traditional MSP
Base tier, plus whatever else
£??
plus the extras below
+
{{ ex }}
Plus per-incident time outside the agreement, project work, and the renewal conversation where the tier goes up.
// The SLA

Response times, in writing.

Honestly, we rarely refer to it — calls get picked up and dealt with long before anybody reaches for the agreement. But it exists, it's the same for every customer, and it isn't a premium tier.

// Switching over

Nobody rips anything out on day one.

The single biggest reason businesses stay on a contract they've outgrown is the fear of the move itself. It's four steps, and we support you as you are from the first visit.

Bring us your current contract.

Send us what you're paying for today and we'll go through this list with you — which of the twenty-five you already have, which you're paying extra for, and which nobody has mentioned. No sales team; you'll be talking to an engineer.
